PB-G Hydraulic Safety Joint

Application

PB-G safety joint provides easy release from a stuck tool or a pipe during remediation.

Design

The safety joint is a short tube, made of alloy steel. It consists of upper body, lower body, piston and slip dies.

3 shear pins retain piston at place. External slotted connection transmits torque from the upper body to the lower body. The connection is sealed off with sealing rings. The safety joint has a watercourse for circulation.

It is available in right-hand and left-hand configurations.

Should the string be disconnected, drop the ball and apply pressure required to shear the bolts. After the joint is disconnected, pull out of hole.
